Our multinational team, comprised of veterans of Clearwire, Google, Sprint and Rise, is dual headquartered in two of the hottest tech centers in Santa Clara, CA and Lehi, UT.


The Microhub field technician position is part of a team that actively builds and maintains the Company's network infrastructure including wired and wireless backhaul distribution; installation of new distribution access points and preventative maintenance of Internet Protocol (IP) network components. This position is also responsible for the enthusiastic monitoring and correction of network related issues.

  • You will be installing backhaul network
  • Ability to identify potential performance issues in the system
  • Ensure proper site operation; inspect cable and electrical equipment
  • Collaborate with customer care department
  • Contact homeowners and site managers to ensure installation happiness
  • Work with current installation and service technicians; resolve individual customer problems
  • Work with network, installation and customer care department to achieve operational objectives
  • Troubleshoot physical layer problems with radio frequency (RF) links; resolve IP network issue problems
  • Maintain detailed activity logs; update network documentation
  • Work within the Company's geographical footprint; perform installation and service work
  • Participate in scheduled corporate and divisional Safety Committee meetings
  • You will assist with new technician training
  • Communicate and liaise with all other Company departments; notify appropriate parties immediately of any issues which may affect efficient operations including, but not limited to, outages, service disruptions, tower volume and repeated customer complaints
  • Work may require weekend and/or evening work and some travel
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass company MVR standards
What excites us about you:
  • One (1) year in related network operations or engineering roles preferred
  • Basic understanding of IP networking
  • Experience with RF communications equipment
  • Climb ladders; safely work in an elevated position
  • Knowledge of and ability to safely operate hand and power tools
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees, management and customers
  • Proven verbal, written, listening and telephone skills
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
  • Experience in networking, wireless communications, field service, electrical (wiring), and/or construction (working with tools) preferred
  • Customer service oriented with real passion for high customer happiness and achieving operational excellence; ability to get along with all levels of staff including senior management, internal and external customers
